Salifu Jabang, Riders for Health The Gambia Head Motorcycle Technician shows The British High Commissioner and her husband one of the motorcycles we use to deliver healthcare in The Gambia.

In post in The Gambia for almost a year, the British High Commissioner  was already aware of the work of Riders for Health do but had yet to see it for herself.

Along with her husband (a motorcyclist and very interested to see the bikes we use here) Harriet met Country Director Therese Drammeh and the rest of the team and was taken to visit the whole facility.

She saw the fuelling station where Riders’ own fuel is used to ensure all vehicles can always access fuel regardless of the situation in the rest of the country. She also saw the motorcycle and vehicle (four wheeled vehicle) workshops, and visited the training centre which had been partially funded by the British High Commission a number of years ago.

Over the course of her time in The Gambia we hope that as a charity with British founders and financial support, to build working partnerships with the British High Commission to further bolster the work that we do and ensure its ongoing success.
